I had wanted to do volunteering abroad for a few years but only really seriously decided to organize something after my university course required me to do an elective placement.

Group Volunteer & Internships
Volunteering and interning in groups brings lots of rewarding experiences. With HWI, you can easily and conveniently organize a group to volunteer and intern with us in Ghana.
Community Service Trips
Embark on a community service trip to Ghana. These programs are carefully designed for both teens and adults. Our community service trips are tailored to your specific needs and interests.
Funding Your Trip
If you cannot pay all the travel expenses associated with your volunteer or internship trip, you can raise money. We have designed a fundraising resource to help you raise money.
Healthcare Volunteer and Internships
Avery Harrel, Huey Sun and Jasmine Torres (Healthcare Interns '11)We have healthcare volunteer and internship opportunities available. These opportunities are open for pre-medical or medical students, pre-nursing or nursing students, pre-pharmacy or pharmacy students, healthcare assistants etc. This program affords you a hands-on international medical/healthcare experience. Opportunities are available in Ghana, Africa (Ghana is a peaceful democratic country located in West Africa. Elections are held every four years to elect the president and legislators).

Our Program Location
Our volunteer, internship and humanitarian programs are located in Ghana, Africa. Ghana is a peaceful democratic country. Elections are held every four years to elect the president and legislators. Ghana is a developing country with lots of potentials. The people are very friendly. We encourage you to come volunteer or intern on any of our programs and help in the development process of this great nation while gaining international experience in your chosen field.
