hwi has various teaching placements available. Volunteers are welcome to participate in this project to help impart knowledge to the many children that await your volunteer service. You can teach in the nursery or basic schools and technical schools. Subjects to choose from include English, Maths, Science, Computer, French, Business among others.

This project is targeted at pre-med, medical students and health professionals. Depending on your experience and area of specialty, you will carry out diagnostics and prescriptions (treatment) or assist local medical staff. Opportunities are also available for you to understudy nurses, health workers or doctors.

Veterinary placements are available to pre vet or vet students wishing to gain hands-on experience or offer help assisting veterinarians in Ghana. Vet professionals are also welcome to take part in this project. You will be exposed to the application of veterinary medicine including diagnostic, surgical, dental, and therapeutic principles to companion, domestic, exotic, wildlife, and production animals.

Sharing your time with orphans is indeed life inspiring. In volunteering, you make them feel they are loved miles away. This indeed could be their greatest source of joy. hwi works with orphanages and children centers in Ghana that are currently in need of volunteers.
