Yes. It doesn't matter where you are in the world, so long as you have the desire to volunteer, you should proceed to our online application page and apply for the project you want to get involved in. We accept applications from all countries. We have so far hosted volunteers from all continents.
All our project locations and contacts use English to communicate. Therefore, you should know how to speak English. English is widely spoken in the community you will be staying and you can get around without any communication barrier.
Teens, over 18s, 50 plus are welcome to volunteer. All the age groups will go through an application process. Contact us if you have any questions.
Yes. All genders are welcome.
Religion and culture doesn't matter when it comes to volunteering or working with Humanity World International. With our past projects, we have worked with many people from different cultures and religion. You are welcome to volunteer with us.
Yes. Some of our volunteers fund-raise in order to meet the cost of volunteering. We have fund-raising resources that you can use. Contact us if you need information on how to fund-raise.
Yes. You can still volunteer even if the project you want to work on is not listed on our website. Please contact us with your intended project details and we shall get back to you.

Once you decide to work on getting a grant from your school, college, university or elsewhere for a project you want to undertake, contact us with the details and you shall have our full support. We will also send you letters of support and work with you on setting up the project.
At hwi, we are very much concerned about your safety. We choose project locations that are very safe for the volunteer. Ghana, however, is generally safe. Ghana is a democratic country and elections are held every four years to elect a president. There are police posts and patrols all over the country.
Some of our programs require no skills to volunteer while others require that you have some skills or qualification in order to volunteer. While reading about the program, please read the qualification section carefully. Again, some projects require no qualification while others do.
