Please note that before getting any medication or vaccination, you must first speak to your doctor. He/she will advice you as to the best form of vaccination, medication or prescription drugs to bring. Information provided here is solely to give you an idea of what form of medication and vaccination your doctor might advice you to get.
- Yellow fever vaccination
You must obtain a yellow fever certificate from your doctor before traveling to Ghana.- Typhoid
- Malaria medication
- Hepatitis B vaccination
- Hepatitis A vaccination
Other health items you may need:
- Anti bacteria hand wipes
- Mosquito net (double bed sized)
You must book your flight to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. Before obtaining your visa, you must book your flight.This is important as you must enter your flight information in the itinerary column on your visa form.
You are required to obtain a visa from the Ghana Embassy or the Ghana High Commission in your country (or a nearby country where you can find the Ghana Embassy or the Ghana High Commission) before traveling to Ghana.
Once your placement has been confirmed, we will send you the appropriate information on how to obtain your visa in your country.
